Thanks re: Gerson therapy
Hi everybody
I just want to thank everyone who took the time to write in response to
my request for info on Gerson therapy.
I am still investigating but here is what I have so far (from
literature the Gerson Institute). Though the main focus is the cure of
cancer the also claim great success with diabetes, particularly with type
II, I am not sure what is meant by cure…if they are referring to a return
to the prediabetic condition or merely the cessation of symptoms through
lifelong diet modification, they do seem to be saying however that diabetic
complications as well as many other diseases can be avoided however, as to
type I diabetes, the person would have to adhere to fairly strictly to the
diet for life but they seem to suggest that many of complications can be
avoided here also. From what I have read the process is very intensive in
time and can be quite expensive (only organic foods are to be eaten,
supplements must be used, a special type of juicer must be purchased and
most of all if one choose to go to a clinic). I don’t think that I could
afford to go to the clinic but it is my understand that one can do this at
home under supervision, the fact is is that everyone does it at home at some
point because the recommended length of the therapy is two years, with
permanent diet modification to follow.
It turns out my pastor has a friend who after being diagnosed with
cancer did the therapy and is now cancer free. I will be calling him to see
if he can fill me in on the nuts and bolts of the process as he experienced
it. I will continue to post what I learn. Shaun
