Diabetes…

Thursday, February 13th, 2003

Hello Judy,

<Some of you people better be careful out there. Diabetes isn’t something
to mess around with. You better be darned sure that something works before
you switch from the sound advice of your doctors and dietitians.>

I totally understand your sentiment(s). Though, perhaps we come from
slightly different perspectives in some regards… maybe : s ??? The so
called "sound" advice of doctors in particular should ALSO be viewed with
the SAME healthy skepticism you rightly advocate, IMHO.

Their "drugs" cause as many problems as they temporarily alleviate…
Nothing wrong with their methods per se, but often times they summarily
avoid some fundamental issues towards being healthy. Insulin is an excellent
drug, keeps me alive… I’m glad to say. However when that ~treatment

Amazon.com CLOSED!

Thursday, February 13th, 2003

I wish I could report that Amazon.com was "temporarily" shut down due to
their sales of CHILD PORNOGRAPHY and QUACK MEDICAL BOOKS, but I can’t. I
don’t know why they are shut down.

I do know that extensive efforts are underway by the government right now to
shut down those websites that are akin to the old snake oil peddlers,
claiming cures with no legitimate, recognized research or proof.

Some of you people better be careful out there. Diabetes isn’t something to
mess around with. You better be darned sure that something works before you
switch from the sound advice of your doctors and dietitians. You better pay
attention to Leoh!

On that note, I bid you adieu. This list is of no value to me. Too bad, cuz
I’d really hoped to learn something.

Hi

Tuesday, February 11th, 2003

everyone, I’m new to the list, I joined for my Mom, who "doesn’t do
computers"..lol….
She is a Type 2 diabetic, and in her 50’s. I’m sure she would love me for
telling her age :) Anyway, I have been forwarding the info along to her, and wanted to say thanks
to everyone for the info!
One question: Her doctor tells her 140 is high, (which is where she is at now),
but, some other people she knows are at 140 also, and their doc’s tell them that
it’s fine…any help here???Thanks,
Peggy

one idea that is getting greater response is that the environment
triggers the immune system and it goes CRAZY and mistakes the
Islet cells for something else and kills them… their is a great
breakthrew with a antirejection medication with no side effects (that
we know of) that would be best in combination with Islet cell
transplantation.. it was released to an article on one of the news
sites.
