Hi,
I really appreciate the concern from those of you that wrote via the one-list.
I also received 6 emails (personally) from people that said they were also on
the diabetescured one list. I assume this is correct or they would not know of
my background.
I do not mean to sound mean or critical, but the emails were more on a religious
note, not dealing with what I thought this list was about at all. I never have
judged another persons religious and I am not about to start now. I did not
join this list as a religious forum. I appreciate those of you wanting to pray
for my recovery and for me to learn to love Christ and that would enable me to
love myself more and I could lose the weight. The truth is, I am not
Christian.. I have no problem with Christianity, its just not my path. If I am
not welcome as a Wiccan with diabetes, then so be it, I will leave. But I do
suggest that in the future, when you describe your list, you mention that it is
a Christian group. Also I don’t mind personal emails, but found it odd that it
was only sent to me instead of the whole group.

Actually, I was not speaking of your message, and I do appreciate the concern
shown by everyone including personal emails. Perhaps, I should have saved
the emails in question and sent them to the onelist and you would know what I
was talking about. I have no problem with someone praying for me, I think
its very nice. I thought the group was a support group with information
(medical) , new findings, etc., not to bring up religious beliefs.
I am sorry if I offended you, it was not my intention. Wiccaa is the path I
follow, its an earth based religion. I study witchcraft and follow the path
of the God and Goddess being one and the same. The only reason I explained
this is because you ask what was Wiccan.
I respect all paths, I judge not, nor do I expect to be judged.

Health list are a little different from other list,but on other list not all
people are on unlimited time for the internet so if something not related
directly to the list takes up a lot of emails,the owner will sometimes ask it
to go to a personal email. I don’t know how this list is because I am new to
it but that is why I emailed you personally.
Also I would just like to say people reach out to help in what has worked for
them,in my email I only expect you to take what helps you but I would not be
offended if you wrote me of what has worked for you,no matter what it was,I
would take it and use what I wanted to.I would just be thankful that people
were nice enough to take time to try and help.
I hope you get to feeling better.

personally. They were just concerned and translated it into their way of
dealing with it. I figure I’d be a nature-loving witch if I weren’t a
member of my religion.

Thank you, but alas I can see that the preverbial "black cat" <grin> is out
of the bag. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut and went on.. I
guess that I over reacted, as on occasion I do. I apologize to everyone in
the group. It is not my way at all.

I found nothing you said anything but with kindness and honest caring. I was
not speaking of your email. The 6 that I was talking about were very
attacking, judgmental, and you have diabetes because….. You must not love
Christ type of mail. I lost two children because……..you must not love
Christ! And so forth and so one. THAT is the people to whom I speak. I
should not have sent the message to group… I should have sent return
messages to the six. I apologize.
